DIY Natural Home Air Freshener {the scent of the season}{6}

I wanted to let you know that I’m working on a super fantastic and very exciting project that I’ll be sharing with you early next week.  I mean it.  It’s exciting.  It’s super.  It’s coming on Tuesday and you will not want to miss it!  For today, I’m sharing one of my favorite and simplest projects with you.  I decided to pull it out today because I actually put it to use myself this morning and I thought some of you might have a use for it, too!

So.  When I got back to the house this morning, after taking the kids to school, my house smelled like curry.  I can’t say that I know what that is all about.  We didn’t cook anything with curry.  And it’s not that I don’t like the smell of curry but I kind of hate any lingering cooking odor.  Even foods that I actually love – smelling them later on?  Makes me ill.  I don’t know why.  I’m weird.  We can talk about that later.

You can use any combination of these spices.  I usually use the cheap cinnamon that I bought at the dollar store to cut down on the cost.  Today, there are no orange peels in the house… but the combination of the rest of these smells great anyway.

All you need to do is put some water (make sure you use enough that it won’t boil away too quickly) in a small saucepan and set it to boil with a sprinkle of each of these spices.

My house does not smell like curry any more!  And the lovely smell of Fall is making me feel all creative for working on my current project!

Go!  Get up right now and put this on your stove top!  You won’t regret it!
