Spring Sunday and The Secret Keeper{2}

The day is far too beautiful to sit inside at the computer so I won’t stay long.  It’s been a week since my Easter post and the last 7 days have brought more changes to my yard than I would have thought.  The biggest change is that I mowed the lawn for the first time yesterday.  That might not seem very exciting to you. . . but it’s one of my favorite days of the year.  While I was out there yesterday, I set myself the task of going out with my camera in the morning.

Here’s a little of what I found.  I had intended to just take pictures of the great outdoors – but I brought some company along – and he made a pretty good subject, too.

our one tree hill

about 1" tall - wild strawberries grow all over our field - the berries are smaller than a pea

whenever i get on the ground he lies down next to me

you can tell him anything. . .

 Right now the tallest plants in the field are last year’s wild grasses.  These are Little Blue Stem.

there he is again. . . on my left this time

Once summer gets rolling the field is full of wild flowers.  Right now it’s mostly the wild strawberries and these guys.  Friend or foe?

Being out with my camera today has inspired me to go out and do some close observation each Sunday morning.  If you’d like to see what comes up and what goes on – stop by and check the Sunday afternoon post.  Drop me a line and let me know what’s going on where you are, too.
